On anime and life

Had my first look into feminine literary criticism essays. Really liked one of them but I'm not quite sure if I'll be using it for my own paper since it's so short. Was one of Juliett Mitchell's. It's a transcript of her lecture 'Feminine, narrative and psychoanalysis'. We'll see, maybe I'll look up some of her other material and do research on that.

Today I finished watching 'Aishiteru ze baby'. One of my favourite anime series ever and one I think everyone should watch. It's a shamelessly feelgood series with the premise of  high schooler guy Kippei ending up caring for his young cousin Yuzyu after her mother disappers when her father dies. It's simply such a heart warming series full of love and everyday magic. It makes me want to be a mother someday, myself.

I'm restaring with Bleach again. Now watching the post-filler episodes. Also watching the anime Inuyasha... enjoying every single moment and wishing the Shinintaichi eps would come sooner!XD

Am intriqued by 'Antique Bakery', might give it a go one of these days when I have the time. Will also start with season 2 of Kyou Kara Maouh. Need to know what happens with Konrad!!!

Now I'll be off to bed since have Introduction to Women's studies at 10am. ^-^

Amazing

So I went to see Kiki's Delivery Service with my sister today.

It was so unbelievably rare and awesome. The reason was simple we had the whole place to ourselves. There was no one else there besides us. That's never happened to me before. It also made the experience itself unforgettable and unique, something I'll savor for a long time to come.

Kiki itself was very good, like all other Chibli movie's I've so far seen. I was amazed by the intricacy of the backgrounds, the plot was moving and the characters lovable. The situation itself, us being the only one's there, really made me get into the movie and will ensure that it'll stay in my mind for a long time to come. And I'd also like to note that I was very happy when we got out, not only because we'd had the opportunity to be alone but because it's what Chibli movies do to me, they always make me happy. And when the closing credits started I was all "But no, I don't want it to ed yet!" I was so craving for more, so loving the movie that I wished it to never end.

And then we bounded through shops like the two girls in anime-high that we were... I didn't get the new sketch book I so sorely need but did go all fangirly and squealy over copic markers at a bookshop's art section. I did find a new notebook.. Right when we were leaving the shop. XD
And will get back to those copics, the one selection with browns looked nice. And that nice comic paper, mmmhhh... *gets dreamy*

Now I'm so wound up after the movie (which ended over five hours ago) that I might type out my neglected fanfics. Or then go to sleep.

And oh, must squeal over one thing more... I'm going to a manga drawing class tomorrow!!! I'm so excited about it!
