Kain/Ed crack fluff for vexed_wench

We talked about crack pairings and fics with vexed_wenchsome time ago and then I got hit by the urge to oblige her needs. And so I wrote her Kain/Edo. It was Kain/Edo wasn't it, dearest?

One would never have pegged the two young men as a pair. Not the short tempered state alchemist and the timid, warm-hearted soldier.

Edward Elric and Kain Fuery.

But the two young men were good for each other, everyone could see that. Kain grounded Ed. He made Ed feel like home for the first time after the brothers had burnt down the Elric house in Resembool.

Kain, on the other hand, enjoyed the other's exploding personality, the way he could make the alchemist smile. And how Ed needed him, in dark hours of the night when he woke, gasping, Kain always there to make it better.

There was one thing Ed couldn't stand about Kain. The soldier always took Al's side on matters concerning stray kittens.

In fact Kain called Ed one, too. It always made Ed throw a tantrum most unfitting for a state alchemist. It was very annoying.

Even if it did make Ed feel fuzzy inside.
