Fanfic to-do list

I don't have school anymore and after a 50K month writing about 1-2K for each (yes, my chapters are kind short, though I think some might go up to 3K, actually) shouldn't be that hard. And I get the feeling I've missed some chapter fic I think...

See that there, behind those 1290 words? It's the nano finish line, the elusive 50K I've chased after for the last 29 days. It's victory. And it will taste all the sweeter when I get there.
So I nanoed for 2012 today. Did 978 of new fanfic word and revised a 300 piece. I must say that having these 3K days can be kinda fun.
And made gingerbread dough.akabana is coming over tomorrow to bake them (I hope to keep myself from eating all the dough...) Also, I cleaned. Wasn't even my turn but couldn't stand it anymore.
I'm aiming for 49K before bed.

Nov. 29th, 2008 12:07 amMy last years nano boys were a lot easier to write than the two I've had to deal with this year round. They're even more impossible than my Socnoc girls! *sigh* Why do I get the urgent need to want to strangle said fictional creations? I'm so near already and yet it feel so far away. Gonna bump my wordcount to at least as high as 47K before bed so I don't have to worry so much. I think possibly one scene more, maybe two and then I'm done! And then I can do fanfic.
I'm actually a bit anxious on the fandom front. Won't manage iyhed this week I think, unless I get totally hit by inspiration. The inukaidan Miroku fic needs saving badly, I'm ripping it apart in editing!*sigh* Why oh why are you so conflicting in my head dear pervert? Inuromp might come... Possibly... Unless I already missed the deadline. But I don't think I did.
(And was naughty last night since instead of writing my nano like I should have done I spent hours downloading manga scanlations... I found A Sex therapist, my fave KK manga and simply couldn't let it slide. Currently distracted by reading Koi No Tsubo (re-read) after skimming through Oyaji Hiroimashita (re-read) and one called (*giggle*) Apron de Chousoku ('Sempai is making me dinner in a frilly apron...' 'Sempai! Please stay here and be my housewife!' XD Gotta love it... ) And why do they never use lube? Or proper stretching? *sigh* After I grow confident anough with my abilities in drawing mens naughty bits I'll do one about nothing but stretching and lube....

Nov. 27th, 2008 11:59 pmThe biggest problem and grievance with my nano atm is that I ran out of plot and things to say about my characters about around 43K. After that it's all just been pure and utter drivel. *sigh*
I did leap over some major plot things after around 8K which is kicking me in the ass now. So if worse comes to worst I can go back and start writing that and see how it goes. Nov. 24th, 2008 11:54 pmToday's bunch of words came out kinda easy. I think exercise does my creativity good.^^ Did another long walk through the forest, with the snow being mid-calf in places it was quite the exercise. And helped me relax and feel more right with myself. When you go in there deep enough there's even no sound of traffic or the distant hum of the city, just the creak of the trees and the soft noises of falling snow.
Was a bit unsettled after I'd finished my writing for today... Changed my mind about what dvd I wanted to watch three times ending up with some Furuba.^^ Fiddled with my new nanomango script and did pages 1-4 and now I'm back on tract with that too.^^ Now I have time to vote on things fandom and maybe even write some fanfic with being on schedule.

Nov. 23rd, 2008 11:58 pmManaged to get back to town even with the slight blizzard outside. Spent the weekend shacked up inside and having a surprisingly pleasant family time. I think the parents are mellowing in old age.^^ All was good except Lilli (my first cat) kept growling at me when I tried to pet her. She doesn't like Nekku being there that much. *sigh*
And despite what mum had said earlier, I ended up doing the English Christmas cake she had the recipe for even after she'd said before she'd do it all by herself. (Happened the last time we had a Christmas cake, too...) But it wasn't such a hassle. I didn't get to eat much of the dough though as the recipe had rum and I don't like the taste or the smell of it (like I don't most alcohol...) I did end up tasting and it wasn't that bad but I still find it a bit unfair that while I ended up making it I'll hardly end up eating it at all... *pouts*
Got my writing for Saturday done before I left yesterday and struggled through what I did today. Which is odd since the scene I did tonight was pwp smut!? Like, WTF?! Can't get writers block at this stage, plz! I'm going to hopefully get back on track with Nanomango (still at 20 pages) tomorrow so I can finish that, at least. Though I think I can push through with Wrimo, make the rest all mushy baby stuff. XD I'm so bad!
Still snowing and blowing outside, miss you all and hope to see more of you once this insanity called Nanowrimo is over in 7 days. Now I'll just watch a little more of Bleach, drink some more chamomille tea and go to bed. Though I should check if my being the opponent to another's lit seminar essay will need any back ground reading in printed form (seminar on Tuesday... ), I hate that I still have to do that. I'm so bad at saying anything critical and all academic sounding and theoretical about someone elses work. And I also simply know that his work will be done first in the seminar session which means it'll invariably last longer (our prof seems to lose track of time and only after the first presentation has lasted for about 50-60 mins of our 90 min seminar time does she seems to notice and will rush us through the second or go on over time...)
And ooh yes, mum referred to me as 'when you're published' during the weekend on passing conversation!^^ Made me feel all giddy. She continued with how she'd be hovering around in my signings when I'm all famous!^^

Why do I always do these past midnight?
Nov. 22nd, 2008 12:15 amI'd like to state how proud I am of myself for cranking out my allotted 1667 for Day 21 before 4.15pm. Did a little while drinking my morning coffee around noon and did the rest after a rather nice talk/walk out in the nice wintery weather (SNOW!) with roomie E. I sat myself down and said, 'No, self , you may not make dinner before you type at least 500.' That soon became 800 and then I burst past 35K kinda easy.
We'll see how big of a dent the weekend will put on me reaching 38K by Sunday night. I'm not taking Nozomi with (since my room back home is still much of a chaos and since Clodia is kept there when I'm home with Nekku ever since the nasty tail biting incident in the Summer and it smells. Which means my weekend at home will be spent in front of the TV or trying to get comfy in the room where the TV isn't (the floorplan of our house used to have a bigger distinction between living room and the 'little room' as we called it, basically it's two conjoined rooms now with half a wall (dry wall?) dividing the space a bit) with a book. I will be taking my notebook and sketch pad with, of course. And my knitting. Hope I can have a walk with mom on Saturday before the promised snow on Sunday (and hope I don't get snowed in since I really need to get back into town for Monday).

Nov. 21st, 2008 12:01 amSo I went and I waded through the snow. Revelled in the numbing feel of being so deep in snow your legs turn numb. It was wonderful. Went to the woods nearby and the silence was something else... No sound of traffic save for the silent hum from across the river... White and cold everywhere.
And then I simply couldn't resist the temptation and flopped myself down on the snow just before I passed back into civilization. It was very refreshing. Amazing.
I'm going to appreciate it for as long as we get to enjoy it.

Christmas Cards

Now, who wants a Christmas/Yule/Solstice/(insert holiday here) card? I'm going to send out some this year too since I did last year and making them and sending them out was so nice, I like to spread some happiness around the holidays.
So just comment (comments screened) with your address or send me a message or email me at saraste_impi@hotmail.com and I'll put you on my list. And if you want a specific kind of card please specify.
I'm not a Christian anyway so as default a holiday card from me never contains religious stuff like angels and churches, more like wintery stuff, snow and pagan (originally until they got stolen!) Yule emblems like Christmas trees and stuff. Though I've not yet made the cards (I do them by hand) so I have no idea what'll be on them...) Also, living where I do, there might be some Christmas elves (tonttuja) as Santa Claus (Joulupukki) originates from here (Korvatunturi...)

I'm like a kid again. There's SNOW! Part of me likes to believe that this is it, that this snow will last us all the way to Christmas but it's unlikely. Still doesn't stop me being all kiddy. I'm gonna go do a walk out in the lovely winter weather once I'm done with breakfast (=coffee).
It rained most of the night last night. I was watching some Bleach even while I was supposed to have gone to sleep and when I changed to my jammies before three and went to the kitchen I saw all this white... Had to go get my glasses on and I saw it was snowing. Part of me wanted to just throw on a cardigan and run out into the snowfall in my jammies and slippers. Didn't, of course. But I so wanted to. (And the part of me that's a pessimist fretted over whether the snow would still be there when I woke up since Finnish weather in the winter, especially on the coast? Unpredictable. Was kinda hard going to bed and falling asleep...)
And now it's so pretty ith snow on the trees and on the grond. Now I feel all festive and more wintery. I think I'm gonna start making Christmas/Yule cards soon.^^

Nanowrimo 2008 - Day 16

The plot is going forward according to plan. There's been developments I'd not thought possible and the rest will depict my couple getting used to the trials and joys of parenting... if they get there. I do hope they will.^^ I've already been so mean to them with death and possession and abuse and the like. *sigh*
